Expanding Everyday Living

Originally conceived as a single-family residence, the project evolved through the integration of a neighbouring plot already owned by the client. Rather than designing an addition, the proposal redefines both properties as a unified home, seamlessly connecting the existing residence with a new extension. The relocated entrance establishes a clear arrival sequence, while a restrained palette of white rendered walls, warm timber screens, expansive glazing, and deep roof overhangs creates a calm, contemporary expression. Internally, generous double-height spaces and abundant natural light strengthen the connection between architecture, landscape, and family life. The result is a cohesive residence that balances privacy, openness, and everyday functionality within a single architectural identity.
